Trip to Eastern Europe (May 13-20)

Tatra Mountains
These jagged mountains border southern Poland and northern Slovakia. We spent 3 days here, hiking and just enjoying the gorgeous scenery.

The little one faired pretty well. But I had to spend most of the trip (when driving) in the back seat to settle him or to keep him entertained.
Finally there! Whew, what a relief to get out of that car seat!!

Going hiking, with wee one riding on daddy's chest.

What a way to sleep!! He was out like a block.

Such awesome views! I felt at home again in the mountains. Rest for the soul!

Sherpa's carry heavy packs laden with staple goods on ladder-type constructions to cabins high in the mountains. We heard one sherpa carried 200 kg for one of the local competitions!

Our cabin from the front. We got an appartment, fully furnished so we could make our own meals for a very cheap price.

PRAGUE, city center
On our way back we drove through the Czech Republic and spent 1 day in Prague.

Quaint little alleys and streets....

Bethlehem Chapel where John Huss preached the truth for which he eventually gave his life. I felt like I was standing on holy ground.

Background view of Charles Bridge, the oldest bridge in Prague (dating back to around 1100 AD).

Playing in the park...

Back in the car...That tongue just loves to hang out! Reminds me of some other family members I know (no names given here!)
